Merging content and execution, StockTwits partners up with broker, Zecco

by Zack Miller on May 25, 2010

Interesting little announcement from StockTwits this morning.  The distance between financial content and trade execution narrows as Stock Twits embeds broker Zecco’s Zap Trade into their site.

From the announcement:

Zap Trade is a little “widget” that appears wherever you see a ticker symbol on StockTwits. Clicking the Z launches a pop-up trade ticket that lets you instantly place a trade with Zecco Trading, all without leaving the StockTwits site. Zap Trade even gives you a real-time quote to see what the price is before you place a trade.

So a StockTwits user with a Zecco trading account could make a trade in a stock he’s reading about — instantly, without leaving the Stock Twits page.  You can see it in action here.

I'm waiting for the chance to place a deep margin-based leveraged trade with my brainwaves, from anywhere.
