I have read and understand your opinion. I am myself a retired athlete that have seen my fellow teamates fail by the waistside in this second career world. I admire the blunt comments about the pitfalls of an athlete going broke because its true. We dont educate ourselves enough to stop the bleeding. Its true, I dont see any financial advisors holding any type of meetings with their athlete clients to discuss and explain piece by piece what type of investments they have their clients involved in. Its a very sad case to see what is going on but it serves the athlete that doesnt take the time to figure things out himself. Hopefully the percentages change for our kind and more guys wise up.

Totally agree with you. In this case, the people sent to help and protect are part of the problem.

Great article. Its a good group to pry upon because they have lots of cash, live very busy & active lives, and don't typically have much business experience. Just as people with Alzheimer's are preyed upon so are these guys.
